Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subsections (a) and (m) of Section 251A of Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title
"Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and Punishments,"
subheading "Gaming," be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
251A.
(a) Nothing in this subtitle shall be construed to make it unlaw-
ful for (1) any local unit of a nation-wide bona fide nonprofit
organization or club composed solely of members who served in the
armed forces of the United States; (2) a bona fide religious group
which has conducted religious services at a fixed location in Worcester
County for a period of at least six years prior to the application
to the Worcester County bingo board; (3) a nonprofit organization
desiring to raise money for an exclusively charitable or educational
purpose specifically described in the application to the Worcester
County bingo board (to qualify as such, a nonprofit organization
must have been operating as such in Worcester County for a period
of at least five years prior to the application to Worcester County
bingo board); (4) a volunteer fire company in Worcester County;
[or] OR (5) a municipal corporation in Worcester County subject to
the provisions of Article HE of the Constitution of Maryland [.]
; or (6) a golf or country club which has a membership of two
hundred (200) or more and which has been in operation for at least
one year, to conduct and operate a game of bingo within the county,
as in this section provided.
(m) This section applies [in the third, fifth and tenth election
districts of] throughout Worcester County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1,1971.

CHAPTER 541
(House Bill 541)
AN ACT to repeal Section 36(4) of Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), title "Workmen's Com-
pensation," subtitle "Claims and Compensation; Benefits," and to
enact new Section 36(4) in lieu thereof, re-enacting the provisions
of a law concerning permanent partial disability for certain cases
in order to remove any doubt of the proper wording of this
section.

(1970 Supplement) title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle
"Claims and Compensation; Benefits," be and it is hereby repealed,
and that new Section 36(4) be and it is hereby enacted in lieu
thereof, all to read as follows:
