250) was Seized in fee of and in all that Tract of Land with the Appurtenances in Baltimore County called Howards Chance lying on the North Side of Patapsco River on a Branch called the Middle Branch and being so Seized departed this Life in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty five And the aforesaid Charles Carroll one of the Parties to these presents being the son and Heir at Law of the Said Charles Carroll Deceased the said Tract of Land with the Appurtenances was by Descent cast on the aforesaid Charles Carroll into which he entred as Heir at Law as aforesaid and whereas since the Decease of the aforesaid Charles Carroll the aforesaid Henry Griffin claimed of the aforesaid Charles Carroll party to these presents who was then Seized of the same as aforesaid an undivided Moiety on half part of the Said Tract of Land with the Appurtenances as of Right belonging to the Said Henry Griffith in fee tail and thereupon it was agreed between the said Henry Griffith the Said Charles Carroll party to these presents and the said Samuel Wilson that in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and Seventy one pounds fifteen Shillings sterling and fifty nine pounds eight Shillings Current Money of Maryland to the Said Henry Griffin then paid by the said Charles Carroll party to these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and in Order to Bar Dock and Cutt of the Estate Tail and Remainders in Tail ^in^ and of the said undivided moiety or half part of the said Tract of Land with the Appurtenances and to Settle and Assure the Same to and for the use of the Said Charles Carroll party to these presents his Heirs and Assigns for ever the said Samuel Wilson should according to the Course |
