Ex.d Maryland fs.t
                                  Know all men by these presents
       that we Thomas Contee William Beanes Junior and Doctor John
       Sprigg are held and firmly bound unto the right Honourable the
       Lord Proprietary in the full and just sum of two hundred pounds
       Current Money To the which payment well and truly to be
       made and done We bind ourselves our heirs Executors & Administrators
       in and for the whole Jointly and Severally firmly by these
       Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this Second Day of
       November Seventeen hundred and fifty Seven

             The Condition of the above Obligation is such That if the
       Above bounden Thomas Contee whilst he Shall Continue in the office of
       Receiver or Collector of the Land Tax in Prince Georges County Shall
       well and faithfully Execute and perform the Several Duties required
       of him to be performed by the Act of Assembly of this Province
       entituled An Act for Granting a Supply of Forty Thousand pounds
       for his Majesty's Service, and Striking thirty four thousand & fifteen
       pounds Six Shillings thereof in Bills of Credit and raising a Fund
       for Sinking the Same and do well and faithfully pay to the
       Commissioners of the Loan Office for the Time being the Several Sums
       of Money which he Shall receive or to be Answerable for in Virtue
       of the Same Act at Such times as by the Said Act is Directed, according
       to the True Intent and Meaning thereof, then the above Obligation
       to be void and of no Effect Otherwise to remain in full Force and

                On the back of y.e aforegoing Deed ^Bond^ was thus indorst Viz.t

        Prince Georges County fs.t        We hereby Certifie that Mess.rs Enock Magruder and
3 sides Tho.s Bowie appeared before us the Subscribers two of his Ldsps Justices for y.e afs.d County
        & made Oath they were Present and Saw the within Bond Duly Executed Given under
        our hands this 2.d Day of November 1757                           John Contee
