Ex.d         Maryland fs.t      Know all men by these Presents that we
       John Smith Doc.t John Hamilton and Charles Graham of Calvert
       County in the Province aforesaid are held and firmly Stand bound
       unto the right Honourable the Lord Propry of the Province aforesaid
       in the full and just Sum of Two hundred pounds Current Money
       to be paid to his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors to the
       which Payment well and truly to be made we bind our Selves and
       Each of us our and either of our heirs Executors and Administrators
       for the whole and in the whole Jointly and Severally firmly by these
       Presents Sealed with our Seals and dated the 23.d Day of March
       in the 6.th year of his Said Lordships Dominion &.ca Annoq Dom 1757

                The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if
       the above Bound John Smith whilst he shall continue in the
       Office of Receiver or Collector of the Land Tax in Calvert County
       shall well and faithfully Execute and Perform the Several Duties
       Required of him to be Performed by the Act of Assembly of this
       Province Entituled an Act for granting a Supply of forty
       thousand pounds for his Majestys Service and striking thirty
       four thousand and fifteen Pounds Six Shillings thereof in Bills of
       Credit and raising a fund for the Same and do well and faithfully pay to
       the Commissioners of the Loan Office of the time being the Several
       Sums of Money which he Shall receive and be answerable for in Virtue
       of the Same Act at Such times as by the said Act is and directed
       According to the true Intent and meaning thereof then the above
       Obligation to be void and of no Effect otherwise to remain in full force
       and virtue
