Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents That I James Armour of Gold Square Tower Hill London Merchant
       for myself and Brother Andrew Armour have made and Ordained and by these Presents do make ordain
       Constitute Authorize and appoint John Stewart of London Merchant to be our true certain and lawfull
       Attorney for Us and in our Names and to and for our proper Use and behoof to demand levy Sue for recover
       and receive by all Lawfull ways and means whatsoever of and from all and every Person and Persons
       whom it doth shall or may Concern all and every such Sum and Sums of Money Debts Dues Goods
       Effects and things whatsoever which now are and shall be and grow due owing payable or belonging
       unto Us upon or by Virtue of any Bond Bill Book or upon Account of Trading or Dealing or upon any
       other Account and by any other ways and ^or^ means whatsoever in any manner of wise and if need be
       to call to Account and to bring to a Reckoning and to Adjust and settle Accounts with all or any
       Person or Persons concerned in the Premisses and to Compound or Agree for all or any Debt or Debts
       Sum or Sums of Money Goods or Effects or any part thereof as he our said Attorney shall see
       Occasion and think fit and upon Receipt or Recovery of all or any the said Debts ^dues^ Sum and Sums of
       Money Goods or Effects or any of them or any thereof sufficient Acquittances and Discharges for the
       same for ^for^ Us and in our Names from time to time to make and give and to remit return send and
       Consign all and every the said Monies Goods Effects and other things which shall from time to
       time be recovered and received by Virtue of these Presents to me the said James Armour at London
       And Generally to do Negociate Transact and perform all other Acts matters and things for Us
       and in our Names and on our behalfs in and about the Premisses and in about and concerning
       all or any of our Affairs and Business as Occasion shall require as fully and Effectually and
       equally Obligatory to all Intents and Purposes as We ourselves might or could do were we personally
       present Giving and by these Presents Granting unto our said Attorney full Power and
       Authority in and touching the Premisses to Sue Pursue Arrest Attach Seize Sequester Implead
       Imprison Condemn and Prosecute and thence and thereof again to Acquit Discharge and out of
       Prison to release also for Us to appear and our Persons to represent in all or any Court or Courts as
       Demandant or Defendant in any Suit Action or Appeal for or by reason of the Premisses Likewise
       Attorney or Attorneys under him with the like or limitted Power to set Substitute and again to
       Revoke Hereby ratifying and Confirming all and whatsoever our said Attorney or his Substitutes
       shall legally do or procure to be done in and touching the Premisses In Witness whereof I the
       said James Armour for myself and Brother have hereunto set my hand and Seal this first day
       of July in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty nine

               E Gower         To which aforegoing Power of Attorney was Annexed the following Deposition Viz.t
               William Gow            On the fifth day of September Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and fifty before
       me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices Personally appeared William Gow one of the
       Subscribing Witnesses to the aforegoing Power of Attorney who being duly Sworn on the Holy Evangelists
7 1/2 of Almighty God Deposeth and saith that he was present and did see the above Named James Armour
        Sign Seal and as his Act and Deed deliver the above and within Power of Attorney to and for the
        Several Uses and Purposes therein mentioned and that Edward Gower the other Subscribing Witness
        Subscribed his Name as a Witness thereto in his Presence
