64) Acknowledge Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll all that Tract or parcel of Land called Strawberry Plains Scituate lying and being in Baltimore County afsd Beginning at a Bounded Beach standing in the Fork of a Run by the Mococosy Road the said Run descends into little Pipe Creek and running thence West eighteen Perches thence North thirty Perches thence East eighty Perches thence South thirty eight Perches thence East thirty Perches thence South one hundred Twenty and four Perches thence West one hundred and twelve Perches thence North one hundred Perches thence by a direct line to the first bounded Tree containing and now laid out for one hundred Acres of Land more or less together with all and Singular the Houses Buildings Fences and Appurtenances thereon or thereto belonging To have and to hold the said one hundred Acres of Land as afs.d together with the Appurtenances to him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever and the said William Maccubbin doth Covenant and Agree that he and his Heirs shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter Warrant and defend the said one hundred Acres of Land with its Appurtenances unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever against all manner of Persons or Claims whatsoever Provided always and it is the True Intent and meaning of these Presents that in Case the said William Maccubbin shall and do well and truly pay unto him the said Charles Carroll his Executors or Adm.rs the Sum of Thirty one Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain with ^the^ lawfull Interest Yearly at or before the Tenth day of June which shall be in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred fifty and one then this Indenture of Sale to become Void otherwise to remain in full force Sealed & Delivered in W.m Maccubbin Seal Presence of Jn.o Chalmers On the back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorsed Viz.t Jean Macarty Reced of Charles Carroll within mentioned the Sum of thirty one Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Consideration within mentioned I say Reced P me June 4.th 1750 W.m Maccubbin Test Jn.o Chalmers Jean Macarty June 4.th 1750 5 1/2 Then came before me William Maccubbin party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the same according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Robert Gordon Recorded June 6.th 1750 Ex.d Midd To all to whom these Presents shall come I James Waller Esq.r Clerk of the Peace for the County of Middlesex Do hereby Certify that at the General Session of the Delivery of the Kings Goal of Newgate holden for the County of Midd on Wednesday the Seventeenth Day of January last and at Several Preceding Sessions Nicholas Bonn William Heydon Elizabeth Wanless otherwise Newby Jane Holmes George Fear, Thomas Chessam, Samuel Taylor, William Joyner Thomas Bakewell, Tho.s Adams Philip Williams Ann Collins Mary Hill, Patrick Dawsey, Peter Cruise, Thomas Merriman Benjamin Mahon otherwise Clarke William Meadall John Ricketts, Christian Grant, John Hackey, James Lane, Mary Murphy Benjamin Dixon, Edward Lowry, Mary Macdaniel Edward Smith John Moore Robert Wood Sarah Arnold William Lawrence James Wood, John Blackston, James Mullins Charles Smith John Gold Edward Maccullister, Patrick Burn Thomas Curtis James Baston Eliz.th Jones Samuel Tunbridge William Hannah, James Munday, Francis Farrell John Hourst Robert Simpkinson Elizabeth Swan Thomas Bavin & John Martin were for divers Felonies and Offences whereof they stand Convicted Ordered and directed to be Transported to some of his Majestys Colonies & Plantations in America for the Term of Seven Years and Isaac Judak for a certain Felony whereof he stands Convicted for the Term of fourteen Years And I do further Certify That all the said Persons above named were by the said Court Conveyed Transferred and made over to Andrew Reid and James Armour of London Merchants and (their) |
