       May ^the^ 2.d 1755  Received of M.r James Brooke four Shillings and Nine pence
       Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation Fine on the
       within mentioned One hundred and Eighteen Acres of Land) by Virtue of
       a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his ^said^ Lordships Agent and Receiver
       General

Ex.d This Indenture made the sixteenth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord
       One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty five   Between John Tennison
       of S.t Marys County in the Province of Maryland Planter and Susannah
       his Wife of the one part and John Attaway ^Clarke^ of the Same County and
       Province af.d Gentleman of the other Witnesseth that the said John
       Tennison and Susannah his Wife for And in Consideration of the Sum
       of Five Shillings Current Money to them in hand paid the receipt
       whereof is hereby Acknowledged Have Granted Bargained and
       Sold and by these presents Do Grant Bargain and sell unto the said
       John Attaway Clark his Executors Administrators & Assigns the Several
       Moieties parts or parcells of Land following that is to say one Moiety
       of a Tract of Land called the out lett Containing fifty Acres More or
       less also one other Moiety of a Tract or parcell of Land called Red
       Mans Adventure containing fifty acres more or less which said Moieties
       or Parcells of Land are Scituate lying and being in S.t Marys County
       af.d Near the Head of Poplar Hill Creek and were formerly sold or
       Conveyed by Andrew Delaware and Ann his Wife to a Certain Sam.l
       Johnson and Also all that tract or Parcell of Land called Mulberry
       Fields lying in the Same County contained in the following Metes
       and Bounds   Beginning at a Bounded Chesnutt Standing on the
       South Side of the Land whereupon Samuel Johnson formerly
       lived and Running South to a Poplar in the line of Robert Mosleys
