551) 1755 April 25.th Then Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within Named Joshua Beall and Acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein Contained to be the Estate and Right of the Said Susannah and her Heirs in Pursuance of the Act of Assembly in such Cases made J Hepburn Recorded 25.th April 1755 6 Maryland Ex.d This Indenture made the fourth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty five between Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgley of Ann Arundell County of the one part and James Brooke Sen.r of Frederick County of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgely for and in Consideration of the sum of six pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to them in hand paid by the said James Brooke the Receipt Whereof they doth hereby Acknowledge hath given granted Bargained Sold and Confirmed and by these Presents they the said Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgley doth for themselves and their Heirs Give Grant Bargain Sell and Confirm unto the af.d James Brooke his Heirs and Assigns for Ever a Certain Parcell or part of a Tract of Land Called Silence Lying on the Branches of Patuxent River Commonly Called Snowdens River Beginning at a Large Stone Marked with those Letters following B P D R S Lying on the Branch of the afd River on the West Side thereof party & on the Water Near the Mouth of a and Running thence North Fifty three Degrees West thirty two perches South Eighty Seven Degrees West thirty two Perches North Seventy two Degrees West Eighty four Perches North ten Degrees East Forty two Perches to the End of the Eleventh Course of the Resurvey of the af.d Land then with the Out lines of the said Land West One hundred Perches to ^a spanish oak Marked with four Notches Standing on the south side of Swan Harbour Branch then South one Hundred perches to^ the End of the End of the twenty ninth Course of the Resurvey af.d then East two hundred Perches South ten Degrees East thirty four Perches South Sixty four Degrees East Sixty Six Perches South thirty two Degrees East Fifty perches North Sixty seven and one half Degrees East thirty three perches (To) |
