       that is to say of the Part laid out for Uriah Bradshaw and Elizabeth his Wife
       to the Use of the said Elizabeth and her Heirs for ever of the Part laid out for
       Clement Stratford to the Use of him the said Clement and his Heirs for ever and of
       the Part laid out for Joseph Alvey and Anne his Wife to the Use of him the
       said Gilbert Ireland his Heirs and Assigns for ever ^and to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever^ In Witness whereof the

       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed Viz.t

       On the Day and Year first within Written Received of Gilbert Ireland the
       Sum of Ten Shillings Current Money and also the Sum of Seventeen Pounds
       sixteen Shillings Sterling and Five thousand four hundred and fifty Pounds
       of Crop Tobacco in full for the Consideration Money and Tobacco within
       mentioned to be by him paid to us

       12.th October 1754  Then came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships
       Justices of the Peace for Saint Marys County the within named Joseph Alvey
       and Anne his Wife Uriah Bradshaw and Elizabeth his Wife and Clement
       Stratford and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their Act
       and Deed and the Land and Premisses thereby released and confirmed to
       be the Right and Estate of the within named Gilbert Ireland his Heirs
       and Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof Also Anne
       the Wife of him the said Joseph and Elizabeth Wife of him the said Uriah
       being by me privately examined apart from and out of the Hearing of their
       said Husbands did repeat as above and that they made this Acknowledgement
       of their own voluntary will and Accord without any Threats or Compulsion
       from their said Husbands or either of them or Fear of their or either of their
       Displeasure         taken before Us                           Philip Key

Ex.d   This Indenture made the Eighteenth Day of October in the
       Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty four Between John Penn of
       Ann Arundel County Planter of the one Part and Samuel Richardson of
       Frederick County of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Penn for
       and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty eight Pounds nine Shillings and
       five Pence Current Money of Maryland to him in Hand paid by the said
       Samuel Richardson before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents
