446) Received the day and Year within Written of William Reynolds Party to the within Instrument of Writing the within mentioned Sum of Ninety five Pounds it being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid to me 95 0 0 Willi.m Rayman Witness Jn.o Addison Then Came before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named William Rayman and did Acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed for the Purposes within mentioned and the within mentioned Land and Premisses to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned William Reynolds according to the true intent and meaning of the within Instrument of Writing And then also came Margery the Wife of the said William Rayman and she being Examined by me apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did declare the within mentioned Land and Premisses to be the Right and Estate of the said William Reynolds his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and meaning of the said within Deed free and discharged from any Claim or Title of Dower and that she made this Acknowledgment of her own free will and Consent without any Compulsion or Threats from her said Husband of ^for^ fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged before me this 22.d Day of Oct.r 1753 Geo Steuart 5.th Decem.r 1753 Received the Sum of eight Shillings sterl being the Alienation Dine due on the within Land to the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary 1 1/2 sides Recorded December 13.th 1753 Edw.d Lloyd Ex.d Maryland fs.t Know all Men by these Presents that We Benjamin Tasker of the City of Annapolis Esq Charles Hammond of Ann Arundel County Esq and Benjamin Tasker jun.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r are held and firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the full and just sum of Three thousand Pounds Current Money to be paid to his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors to which Payment well and truly to be made and done We and every of Us hereby bind Ourselves and every of Us Our and every of Our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this seventh day of December Anno Domini 1758 The Condition of the above Obligation is such That if the above bounden Benjamin Tasker whilst he shall continue in the Office of Commissary General shall at his own proper Cost and Charge find a Supply of good and sufficient Record Books necessary for the entring up of all matters and (things) |
