       Seventeen hundred and fifty three Came before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court Edward LLoyd of the City of Annapolis in the Province
       of Maryland Esq and took the several Oaths appointed by Act of Assembly of this
       Province to be taken to the Government made repealed and Subscribed the Oath of
       Abjuration and Test

Ex.d Maryland fs   Know all Men by these Presents that We Edward Lloyd of Talbot
       County Charles Goldsborough of Dorchester County and James Hollyday of Queen Annes
       County all of the Province aforesaid Esquires are held and firmly Bound unto the Right
       Honourable Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and
       Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &ca in Five Thousand Pounds Sterling to be paid to
       the said Lord Proprietary his Heirs and Successors To the which Payment well and truly to
       be made we bind ourselves our and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly
       and severally in the whole and for the whole firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals
       and Dated this Tenth day of October Anno Domini 1753

       The Condition of the above Obligation is such that Whereas the above named Lord Propry
       by his Commission under the great Seal of the said Province bearing Date the thirtieth day
       of March last hath Constituted and Appointed the above Bounded Edward Lloyd to be his
       Chief Agent Escheator and Receiver General of all his Rents Arrears of Rents Fines
       Forfeitures Tobacco Money for Land Warrants Licences for Ferry's Waifs Strays Deodands of
       all Dutys arising from and growing due upon Exportation of Tobacco or Tonage of Ships and all
       other Money Tobacco or other Effects in any manner of way or means now due or hereafter to
       grow due whether by Protested Bills of Exchange or otherwise within the said Province of
       Maryland with full Power and Authority to Sell and Dispose of all Lands Tenements or
       Hereditaments to the said Lord Proprietary now Escheated or Forfeited or hereafter to be
       Escheated or Forfeited to such Person or Persons as shall agree and pay for them in Money
       also to Inspect Order Manage and Account for all and every other Branch or Branches of
       his Revenue within his said Province whether the same shall grow due by particular
       Contract Conditions of Plantations Act or Acts of Assembly or by Virtue of his Lordships
       Royalties Rights Priviledges or Prerogatives within the said Province and for the
       better Execution of the Powers and Authorities given in & by the said Commission the
