366) of the Death or Absence of the said Lancelot Jacques from the said Province of Maryland) the said Stephen Bordley or either of their Substitutes shall lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the Premisses by Virtue of these Presents Thus done and passed in London aforesaid in the Presence of the Underwritten Witnesses Sealed and Delivered (being first W.m Hunt Seal duly Stampt in the Presence of Tho.s Hooper Tho.s Dorsey In Pramissorum fidem Seal Will Tudman Not.s Pub.s 1753 At the foot of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written Viz.t May 29.th 1753 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court for the Province of Maryland Thomas Hooper and Thomas Dorsey two of the Subscribing Evidences to the aforegoing Power of Attorney and Severally made Oath on the Holy of Evangels of Almighty God that they saw the above named William Hunt Esq.r Sign & Seal and as his Act and Deed deliver the said Power of Attorney to the Uses therein mentioned 9 sides Recorded May 28.th 1753 Robert Gordon Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty Eighth day of May Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred fifty and three Between Jacob Gans of Frederick County Planter of the one part and John Ross of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jacob Gans for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said John Ross at and before the Ensealing of these Presents the Receipt whereof he the said Jacob Gans doth hereby Acknowledge hath given granted bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed & made over as by these Presents he the said Jacob Gans Doth for himself and his Heirs Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm and make over unto the said John Ross his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land called the Resurvey on Egypt Beginning at a Bounded White Oak standing in a Hallow on the North side of a Draught of Antietum that John Stoners Mill stands on near the Temporary Line it being the Original beginning Tree and running thence North Seventy Degrees West sixty Perches North eighty five Degrees and a half Degree West Twenty eight Perches South thirty three Degrees West twenty Perches South thirteen Degrees East fifty Perches South forty five Degrees West sixty Perches North forty one Degrees West twenty six Perches South (Eighty) |
