252) Ex.d This Indenture made this Seventeenth day of April in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty two Between James Jordan of Saint Marys County Gentleman of the one part and John Jordan of the same County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Jordan for and in Consideration of the Sum of Five Shilling to him in hand paid and for divers good Causes and Considerations him the said James Jordan in this behalf moving Hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold unto the aforesaid John Jordan All that part whereof the said James Jordan now Possesseth of a Parcel of Land lying in Saint Marys County Beginning at a Black Oak standing on the one side of Pomakokin Run and running South sixty Degrees West One hundred and twenty five Perches to a Locust Post then South thirty one Degrees East two hundred and eighteen Perches to a Gum standing by the main Road that leads from Bushwood to the head of Clemens Bay then North fifty six Degrees East two hundred and eighteen Perches to a dead Stump near a Bridge on the same Road then with a streight line to the beginning Containing Two hundred and twenty four Acres as the same was Surveyed and laid out the Twenty Second Day of February Seventeen hundred and fifty To have and to hold all and singular the Premisses with the Appurtenances to the said John Jordan and his Heirs for Ever made Subject Nevertheless to the following Uses and Trusts hereafter expressed and Declared for and concerning the same to wit to the Use of the Natural Lives without Impeachment of Waste and from and after their Decease to the Use of the Heirs of the Body of the said Ann lawfully begotten and in default of such Heirs then to the Use of the Heirs of the said James Jordan for ever In Witness whereof the said James Jordan hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and Year abovesaid Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of James Jordan Seal Elizabeth McLeod Geo Dent On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County Maryland April the seventeenth 1752 Came before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province aforesaid the within mentioned James Jordan party to this Deed and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of John Jordan for and to the Uses Intents and Purposes therein mentioned and expressed and to no other Purpose Intent 4 1/2 or meaning whatsoever Acknowledged the day and Year above mentioned Recorded April 17.th 1752 before Geo Dent |
