       On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Att.ry was thus Endorsed Viz.t     
       Signed Sealed and Delivered by the within named Benjamin Nicholson (the
       Parchment being Legally stampt) in the Presence of Us

       Samuel Nicholson (the Parchment being Legally stampt)
       in the Presence of Us

       To which aforegoing Letter of Attorney were Annext            Ra Bradley
       the following Affidavits and Certificates Viz.t                           Tho.s Thoresby

       Ralph Bradley of Stockton upon Tease in the County of Durham and Kingdom of
       Great Britain Gentleman maked Oath that he was present and did see Samuel Nicholson
       of Stockton afs.d Doctor in Physick Sign Seal and deliver as his Act and Deed in due form
       of Law the Original Deed Poll hereunto Annexed purporting to be a Letter of Attorney
       from the said Samuel Nicholson and Benjamin Nicholson of the Borough of
       Berwick upon Tweed in the same Kingdom Brewer to his Excellency Samuel Ogle
       Esq.r Governor of Maryland therein named to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes therein
       mentioned And that Thomas Thoresby was also present at the Execution of the said Letter of
       Attorney by the said Samuel Nicholson and did see the same duly Executed as afs.d
       And that the Names Ra Bradley and Tho.s Thoresby set and Subscribed as Witnesses to
       the Execution thereof by the said Samuel Nicholson are of the proper ^hand^ Writing of the said
       Thomas Thoresby and of this Deponent Respectively

       To all to whom these Presents shall come I Ralph Whitley Esquire Mayor of the
       Borough of Stockton in the County of Durham and Kingdom of Great Britain in
       Pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and Passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of
       our Sovereign Lord King George the Second intitled an Act for the more Easy Recovery of
       Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in America do hereby Certifie that on the
       day of the date ^here^of Personally came and appeared before me Ralph Bradley of Stockton afs.d
       Gentleman being a Person well known and Worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath
       which he then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God did Solemnly
       and Sincerely declare Testifie and depose to be true the several matters and things
       mentioned and Contained in the Original Affidavit hereunto annexed In Faith and
       Testimony whereof I the said Mayor have caused the Common Seal of the Corporation
       of the said Borough to be hereunto put and Affixed and the Letter of Attorney mentioned
       and Referred to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also Annexed dated at
       Stockton afs.d the fourth day of February in the twenty Second Year of the Reign of our
       Sovereign Lord King George the Second and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven
       Hundred and forty Eight
