412) Jenkes Esq.r six of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the said County Or any Two or more of them are (pursuant to the Statute in such Case made and Provided) nominated and appointed by this Court to Contract with any Person or Persons for the Transportation of the said Richard Waters and it is further Ordered by this Court that the said Richard Waters shall be and he is hereby conveyed and made over to & to the use of such Person or Persons and his or their assigns who shall Contract for the Transportation of him accordingly By the Court Knapp We whose names are hereunto Subscribed Two of his Majestys Justice of the peace within mentioned Do hereby Certifye that Andrew Reid of London Merchant hath contracted with us for the Transportation of the within named Richard Waters Given under our hands this 9.th day of Jan.r 1747 Ed Eversfield Ed Fredcroft Ex.d Southton At the General Delivery of the Goal of our Lord the King of the County of Southton holden at the Castle of Winchester in and for the same County on Tuesday the Twenty eighth day of July in the Twenty first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain &c Before Sir Thomas Bennett Kn.t one of the Justices of his Majestys Court of Comon Pleas & Edward Clive Esq.r one of the Barons of his Majestys Court of Exchequer Justices &c Whereas Jane Thacker Thomas Jones William Whitby Samuel Jones Edward Rose Richard Lawrence John Harvey Ann White John Collins George Massey and Frances Montgumery were at former Sessions of Goal Delivery held in and for this County Convicted of Felonies for which they were excluded the Benefit of Clergy and to whom his Majesty hath (been) |
