thereto in July, except that in Montgomery County such annual
meeting shall be held on or before the tenth day of January in
each year. At this meeting the board shall elect one of its members
to serve as president and one to serve as vice president. Other meet-
ings shall be held as the duties and business of the board may require.
The members of the county boards of education shall receive neither
salary nor compensation, but each member shall receive reimburse-
ment for traveling and other expenses incident to attending the
meetings and transacting the business of the board. In Kent County
each member of the Board of Education shall receive the sum of six
hundred dollars ($600.00) annually for traveling and other expenses.
IN GARRETT COUNTY EACH MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF
EDUCATION SHALL RECEIVE THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($200) ANNUALLY FOR TRAVELING AND OTHER
EXPENSES. IN CHARLES COUNTY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF EDUCATION SHALL RECEIVE THE SUM OF
EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($800.00) ANNUALLY FOR
TRAVELING AND OTHER EXPENSES, AND THE MEMBERS
OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION SHALL RECEIVE THE
SUM OF SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($600.00) ANNUALLY FOR
TRAVELING AND OTHER EXPENSES.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 1214)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 160(b)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County Liquor
Control Boards and Dispensaries," to increase the amount of money
the liquor control board of Worcester County may borrow.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 160(b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "County Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read
as follows:
160.
(b) The liquor control board also shall be authorized to borrow
money from time to time from any banking institution, on its own
credit. Provided, that the aggregate sum advanced to and/or bor-
rowed by the liquor control board shall at no time exceed $5,000.00
in Somerset County, $10,000.00 in Harford County, $20,000.00 in
Kent County, $25,000.00 in Wicomico County and [$60,000.00]
$100,000.00 in Worcester County.
