Local Laws of Maryland, published under the direction of the
Board of County Commissioners of Charles County and edited by
Carl N. Everstine, and making provision for the publication, sale
and distribution of this Code.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the 1969 Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles
County, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, published under the direction of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Charles County and edited by Carl N. Everstine, is legal-
ized. The Code shall contain all public local laws relating to Charles
County following the 1969 regular session of the General Assembly
of Maryland, and it shall contain the charters of the several munici-
pal corporations within Charles County, as in effect on April 1, 1969.
The Code shall be deemed and taken in all the courts of the State, by
all justices of the peace and trial magistrates of the State, and by all
other public officials of the State and of its several political sub-
divisions, to be evidence of the public local laws of Charles County in
effect at the time of compilation.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of County Com-
missioners of Charles County is authorized to provide for the sale
and distribution of the Code.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 73
(House Bill 722)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 136 (b)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1969 Edition,
being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Charles County," subtitle "Hucksters," to increase the pen-
alty for not obtaining a huckster license to not more than one
hundred dollars or not more than thirty days imprisonment or
both.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 136(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles
County (1969 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "Hucksters,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and
to read as follows:

136.

(b) For every such license, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Charles County shall be paid one hundred dollars ($100) per annum.
The receipts from said licenses shall be paid to the County Treasurer
for the use of said County. Any person violating the provisions of
