1969 Supplement, being Article 19 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's County," subtitle "County
Commissioners" to increase the salary of the County Commission-
ers of St. Mary's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of St. Mary's
County (1965 Edition, 1969 Supplement, being Article 19 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title "St. Mary's County," sub-
title "County Commissioners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

17.

The President of the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
shall receive a salary of [five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)] tern,
thousand dollars ($10,000.00) NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($9,000.00) per year, and the other commissioners shall receive a
salary of [four thousand five hundred dollars ($4,500.00)] seven
thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500.00) per year. As of January
1, 1967, the attorney to the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County shall receive a salary as determined by the County Commis-
sioners.

The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County may receive
reimbursement for their expenses incurred while engaged in county
business, whether such expenses were incurred within or outside
the county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
County Commissioners in office on the effective date of this Act,
but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the County
Commissioners shall take effect at the beginning of the next follow-
ing term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108 (g)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Decedents' Estates," subtitle "Subtitle II.
The Court," subheading "Part I. The Probate Court," to increase
the salaries of the judges of the Orphans' Court for Carroll
County.
