CHAPTER 69
(House Bill 652)

AN ACT to repeal Section 123 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," sub-
title "Bridges," repealing an obsolete local law of Washington
County authorizing the County Commissioners to subscribe for the
capital stock of a bridge company under certain conditions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 123 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "Bridges,"
be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 70
(House Bill 653)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 694 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957 Edi-
tion, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Washington County," subtitle "Trailers," amending
the laws concerning trailers in Washington County in order to
correct an error therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 694 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "Trailers,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

694.

The term "trailer" as used in this subtitle means any structure of
whatsoever kind or nature, utilized or capable of being utilized as
the habitation or living quarters of any person or persons, which
said structure is not in any manner whatsoever connected with the
land on which it stands, except that connection for water, sewage
and other similar facilities shall not be deemed a connection with the
land within the definition herein set forth. The provisions of this
subtitle shall be liberally construed in favor of the County Commis-
sioner of Washington County, and this sub-[section] title shall
apply to all structures with the definition herein set forth, and shall
not be restricted to automobile trailers or similar trailers.
