to Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Nat-
ural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish,"
to follow immediately after Section 112 thereof and to be under
the new subheading "Fish and Wildlife Administration"; and to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 83 (a), Section
83 (b), Section 83 (d), Section 83 (e), and Section 85 (d) of
Article 96A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1964 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Water
Resources," subtitle "Well Drillers"; to provide that the following
units of State government shall be included within the Depart-
ment of Natural Resources—the Maryland State Board of Well
Drillers, the Fish and Wildlife Administration, and the Fish and
Wildlife Commission; to provide that the Fish and Wildlife
Administration be established and continued as the successor to
the Department of Game and Inland Fish presently existing in
the laws of Maryland and to provide that the Fish and Wildlife
Administration have all the powers, duties, responsibilities, and
functions provided in the laws of Maryland for the Department
of Game and Inland Fish; to provide that the Fish and Wildlife
Commission be established to continue the duties of the Game
and Inland Fish Commission and said Fish and Wildlife Commis-
sion shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities set out in
the laws of Maryland for the Game and Inland Fish Commis-
sion; to provide that all references in the laws of Maryland relat-
ing to the Department of Game and Inland Fish arid the Game
and Inland Fish Commission shall be deemed to mean the respec-
tive new agencies established by this Act; to provide for the
manner of appointment of the Maryland State Board of Well
Drillers, for the appointment of an executive director by such
Board, and for the rights, powers, duties, obligations and func-
tions of such Board to be subject to the authority of the Secre-
tary of Natural Resources; to provide for the appeal of decisions
of such Board to the Board of Review of the State Department
of Natural Resources; and relating generally to the powers and
duties of the Secretary of Natural Resources and to the organi-
zation and administration of the State Department of Natural
Resources, the Maryland State Board of Well Drillers, the Fish
and Wildlife Administration, and the Fish and Wildlife Com-
mission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 233 (a), Section 233 (b), Section 234 (d) and Section
235 (b) of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition, 1965 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title
"Governor—Executive and Administrative Departments," subtitle
"The Department of Natural Resources," be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that a new Section
235 (d) of Article 41 of the same title and subtitle be and it is
hereby enacted, all to read as follows:
