directed to act as the agent of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles
in the registration of motor vehicles of the Class A passenger or
pleasure type and to issue metal plates or markers as hereinabove
prescribed. In Talbot County, the additional fees paid to the county
treasurer for his services, by virtue of subsections (a) and (d) of
this section, shall be paid to the County Commissioners of Talbot
County and all said monies shall be placed in a general fund of the
county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the county treas-
urer of Talbot County in office on the effective date of this Act,
but the provisions of this Act will take effect with the next term
of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 275 of
Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume), title "Corporations," subtitle "III. Particular Classes
of Corporations," heading "Religious Corporations," subheading
"Protestant Episcopal Church—Diocese of Maryland," to permit
women to vote at all elections of vestrymen or upon any and all
matters which may come before any regular or special meetings
of any parish or separate congregation or mission, to lower the
voting age at such meetings from 21 to 18, to eliminate or modify
certain of the other eligibility requirements pertaining to the
right to vote at such meetings, and to provide that anyone eligible
to vote at an annual meeting for the election of vestrymen shall
also be eligible to serve as a vestryman if so elected.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 275 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume), title "Corporations," subtitle "HI.
Particular Classes of Corporations," heading "Religious Corpora-
tions," subheading "Protestant Episcopal Church—Diocese of Mary-
land" be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
Section 275. Manner and time of electing vestrymen of parish or
separate congregation.
The vestries shall be chosen for each parish or separate congrega-
tion within the State, subject to this subheading in the following
manner: [Every male citizen of this State, over 21 years of age,
a resident of the parish or enrolled member of the church congrega-
tion where he offers to vote for six months next preceding the day of
