court criers and doorkeepers shall receive such compensation as the
County Commissioners of Prince George's County may from time
to time prescribe after consultation with the court. Said compensa-
tion shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County, which shall be provided for in the annual levy and paid as
other expenses and salaries are paid for the conduct of the business
of said circuit court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Subsection (a)
of 59-76 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, as amended, and
Subsection (a) of Section 70-82 of the Montgomery County Code,
1965 Edition, as amended, being Articles 17 and 16, respec-
tively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), titles
"Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Park and Planning Commission," to permit the Subdivision Reg-
ulations to include provisions for the preservation and use, for
public purposes, of lands dedicated to public use.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Subsection (a) of 59-76 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, as
amended, and Subsection (a) of Section 70-82 of the Montgomery
County Code, 1965 Edition, as amended, being Articles 17 and 16,
respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), titles
"Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle "Park
and Planning Commission," be and same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted to read as follows:
59-76 (70-82)
(a) Authorized; purposes; restrictions. In exercising the powers
granted to it by Section 70 of this Article, the Commission or
the governing body of either county may prepare regulations and
amendments thereto governing the subdivision of land within the
Regional District or the respective portions of the Regional District
within Montgomery or Prince George's County. The regulations and
amendments shall be adopted by the respective governing bodies
of the counties, with such changes as they may deem appropriate,
and shall be effective from the date of adoption or from such other
date as the governing body may designate, provided that such adop-
tion shall not affect in any manner the administration of the regula-
tions by the Commission or its functions under Section 70 hereof.
In the event the Commission prepares or has prepared regulations
and amendments, which it presents to the governing body of the ap-
plicable county for appropriate action, and such body does not ap-
