AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 595 (b)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edi-
tion, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Schools," last amended
by Chapter 223 of the Acts of 1963; to change the amount a
teacher in Allegany County may receive as disability benefits from
the Teachers' Relief Fund.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 595 (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Schools," last
amended by Chapter 223 of the Acts of 1963, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

595.

(b) Any teacher of the public schools of Allegany County sub-
ject to or taking advantage of the provisions of this section, who
shall become disabled or incapacitated from performing regular
school work for a period greater than twenty consecutive school
days, shall be paid out of the said Relief Fund [$4.00] $6.00 per
school day for a period of the first twenty school days, and there-
after the sum of [$6.00] $8.00 per school day for [a] the period
[not greater than] of the next following eighty school days [in
any school year]. The benefits provided in this subsection shall be in
lieu of those provided in Section 594 [.] , and shall not continue for
over one hundred school days in any event.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 109 of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement
Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates
System," to provide for one constable in the City of Cumberland
and to increase his salary.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 109 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Trial Magistrates System," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
