or who fails to display all records, books and accounts of such funds
to the Commission upon demand. The suspension may be immediate
and shall continue until such time as the broker agrees to comply
with the order of the Commission or until a determination is made
pursuant to Section 225 of this Article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 169 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957
Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," as last amended by Chapter 420 of the Acts of 1966,
to increase the salary of the County Commissioners and the
President of the Board of County Commissioners in Washington
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 169 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "County
Commissioners," as last amended by Chapter 420 of the Acts of
1966, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
169.
Each County Commissioner of Washington County elected in
November 1954, or thereafter, shall receive for his services an
annual salary of [Four] Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
[($4,000.00)] ($5,500.00), payable in monthly installments, and the
Commissioner elected President of the Board shall receive an addi-
tional $500.00 per annum. A Commissioner shall receive no other
compensation whatsoever for his services, including those rendered
pursuant to Section 242 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of any
County Commissioner of Washington County in office on the effec-
tive date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the
salary of any Commissioner shall take effect at the beginning of
the next following term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
