to follow immediately after Section 26A thereof, in order to in-
crease Sheriff's fee for serving a paper or making an attach-
ment or execution in Wicomico County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 26B be and it is hereby added to Article 36 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1969
Cumulative Supplement), title "Fees of Officers," subtitle "Sheriffs,"
to follow immediately after Section 26A thereof and to read as
follows:

26B.

The Sheriff of Wicomico County may charge and collect these fees:

(1)  For any action or service which involves only the serving of
a paper and is not an act of execution or attachment, a fee of $4.00.

(2)  For any action or service which includes an act of execu-
tion or attachment, involving a seizure or a taking into custody of
any property, real or personal, or of any person, a fee of $8.00.
If the Sheriff incurs any actual expenses for the purpose of con-
serving and protecting property seized, he shall be entitled to reim-
bursement for such expenditures.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 of
Chapter 708 of the Acts of 1965, as last amended by Chapter 123
of the Acts of 1969, extending the time during which the Mary-

land Academy of Sciences may present certain evidence to the

Board of Public Works with regard to the funding of a Science

Center, and making further provision for the time during which

certain equal and matching funds under this Act are to be pro-
vided. TO EXTEND THE TIME BY WHICH THE MARYLAND
ACADEMY OF SCIENCES MUST PROVIDE ALL OR A POR-
TION OF THE FUNDS REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED TO
MATCH STATE FUNDS AVAILABLE UNDER CHAPTER 708
FOR A SCIENCE CENTER, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE
EFFECT ON THIS TIME PERIOD AND ON PAYMENTS TO
BE MADE UNDER CHAPTER 708 OF PROVIDING A POR-
TION OF THESE MATCHING FUNDS.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 of Chapter 708 of the Acts of 1965, as last amended
by Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1969, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
