from the office of the County Commissioners. This section shall also
not apply to Queen Anne's County and in that county the County
Commissioners shall publish annually in a paper of general circula-
tion in the county a summarized statement of the receipts and expen-
ses of the county in the previous year in sufficient detail to inform
the general public, with reasonable clarity the source of such receipts
and the nature of such expenses provided, however, that the county
commissioners shall publish annually the source and nature of any
expense above four hundred dollars ($400.00). Such published finan-
cial statement in Queen Anne's County shall include a public notice
that a detailed financial statement may be examined and/or copied
by interested persons at the office of the County Commissioner.
[This section shall also not apply to Garrett County and in that
county the County Commissioners shall publish annually in one news-
paper of general circulation in the county a statement of the receipts
and expenses of said county in sufficient detail to inform the general
public, with reasonable clarity, the source of such receipts and the
nature of such expenses.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 233)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1961 Edition, being
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Cecil County," subtitle "Auctions," changing the disposition of
auctioneers' license fees in Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "Auctions," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

It shall be the duty of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said county
to issue auctioneer licenses to such persons as may apply for and be
entitled to them under this subtitle, and according to the conditions
and provisions of this subtitle, the amount so received from said
license to be paid to the [School] Commissioners of Cecil County to
be credited by them to the [school] general fund of said county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
