bass or pike are caught in nets, seines or other devices legally
engaged in other fishing those fishing such nets shall immediately
return such fish to the waters uninjured, except it shall be lawful
for anyone fishing said nets to retain not to exceed one day's legal
creel limit of five (5) black bass or ten (10) pike for his own pri-
vate use during said open season. It shall also be unlawful for any
person, firm or corporation to sell or offer to sell, purchase or
offer to purchase at any time or to have in possession any black
bass or pike whether said fish be caught in tidal or nontidal waters
within the State of Maryland, or the waters of any other state
and brought into this State; provided, however, that anglers catch-
ing said fish by rod, hook and line as hereinbefore provided, and
not in excess of the creel limits imposed by Section 316 of this
article, shall be entitled to possess and transport said fish so caught;
and further provided that nothing in this section shall be so con-
strued as to prevent the shipment in interstate commerce of live
bass or pike for propagating, breeding or stocking purposes in ac-
cordance with Section 215 of this article, or to prevent anyone from
catching or engaging in the catching of black bass or pike under
the direction of any State department or agency for propagation
purposes or for restocking any waters of this State in accordance
with Section 218. The provisions of this subsection shall not apply
to the catching, selling, purchasing or possession of black sea bass
(centropristes striatus).

In the event that the owners or operators of said sewage disposal
plant fail to submit a plan or to construct the necessary improve-
ments in accordance with an approved plan, the county council or
county commissioners of such county, and in Montgomery and
Prince George's counties the Washington Suburban Sanitary Com-
mission shall, upon thirty (30) days' written notice from the De-
partment of Health that compliance has not been made with the re-
quirements of this [subsection] section, proceed with and complete
the necessary plan and work so that the said sewage disposal plant
will conform to the standards herein stated.

(g) Sections where encroachment is imminent and such encroach-
ment would lead to degradation of river and stream, to some form
of pollution or adversely [effect] affect the intent of this subtitle.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
