pected to be actually occupied by such homeowner or homeowners for
more than six months of some twelve-month period including the
date of application for credit. A homeowner or homeowners may
claim credit on only one such dwelling. The administrative unit or
official administering the program may qualify a homeowner other-
wise eligible for the tax credit if he does not actually reside in the
dwelling the required time period for reason of illness or need of
special care. "Subdivision" means any county of the State of Mary-
land, or the City of Baltimore.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 111
(Senate Bill 86)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 27(b) of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle "Appli-
cation of Article; Extra Hazardous Employments," increasing the
compensation paid to members of the medical board under the
Workmen's Compensation laws.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 27 (b) of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Workmen's Compensation,"
subtitle "Application of Article; Extra Hazardous Employments,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
27.
(b) The members of the medical board shall devote as much of
their time as may be required to perform the duties and carry out
the functions of the board as set forth in this article. The chairman
of the medical board shall receive an annual salary of [four thousand
five hundred dollars ($4,500.00)] six thousand five hundred dollars
($6,500.00) and the two associate members of the board shall receive
an annual salary of [four thousand dollars ($4,000.00)] six thousand
dollars ($6,000.00) each, and each member of the board shall be
entitled to the reasonable and necessary traveling and other expenses
incurred while actually engaged in the performance of their duties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
