Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1A-1 (g) be and it is hereby added to Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supplement), title "Election
Code," subtitle "State Administrative Board of Election Laws," to
follow immediately after Section 1A-1 (f) thereof, and to read as
follows:
1A-1.
(g) The State Administrative Board of Election Laws shall estab-
lish and maintain a repository for all Federal decennial census in-
formation concerning this state and make it available to legislators
and legislative committees as requested, for studies of legislative
apportionment or other purposes. The information maintained by
the Board shall be accepted as official and authentic Federal decennial
census information, by all courts, judges, officials and employees of
this State and of its political subdivisions.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 108
(Senate Bill 494)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-12 (d)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Election Code," sub-
title "Election Boards and Employees," to provide that local boards
of election file maps of precincts with the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws, make maps and descriptions available
for public information, and matters generally relating thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-12 (d) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title
"Election Code," subtitle "Election Boards and Employees," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read
as follows:
2-12.
(d)(l) Each board at the time precinct lines are created or
changed under the authority of any provision of law, shall have a
reasonable number of maps prepared showing the new precinct
lines and shall adopt a resolution describing the precinct lines. One
copy of each of the resolutions and of the maps shall be filed with
the clerk of the circuit court of the county or the clerk of the Superior
Court of Baltimore City, as the case may be, and the [Secretary of
State] State Administrative Board of Election Laws.
(2) [On or before January 1, 1968, each board shall file with the
Secretary of State a map showing the boundaries of all election
