2810                                Municipal Charters

(c) Master Electrician—Limited

(1) In order to qualify for such license, the applicant must submit
to the Board, the name of the representative or AND alternate, if any,
under whom the work is to be done or supervised, and prove to the satisfac-
tion of the Board that the representative or AND alternate, if any, has
worked under the direction or supervision of a qualified person for at least
two (2) years, or equivalent, and must successfully pass an examination
as to his qualifications as hereinafter provided.

3.306—Applicants and Examinations

(a)    A person acting in his own behalf, or as an agent of a firm,
company, corporation or partnership, who desires to enter into, or engage
in the business of electrical contracting or certain restricted/limited types
of electrical installations or repairs, as provided for by this Act, may at
any time make application to the Bureau of Inspections, Licenses and
Permits to be examined and the Bureau shall provide the applicant with
the prescribed forms.

(b)    Applicants shall possess and meet the following requirements
which are prerequisite to examination:

(1)    An applicant for a "Master Electrician's License" shall have
been regularly and principally employed or engaged in the profession or
business of electrical construction, maintenance, installation, repair or
design of all types of electrical equipment and apparatus, all coming within
the purview of and subject to all provisions of this Act, for such period
of time as otherwise specified in this Act.

(2)    An applicant for a "Master Electrician—Restricted License"
shall pass the examination of the Board as to his qualifications and
knowledge of the field or fields of the particular specialty in which he
requests a license. An applicant may be licensed hereunder for any two
of a particular type of electrical installation or repairs as defined herein
and for which he shall be found qualified by the Board. The type of re-
stricted licenses shall be set forth in regulations of the Board.

(3)    An applicant for a "Master Electrician—General, Restricted,
or Limited License" shall furnish such information as shall be required
on an application form approved by the Board as to his character refer-
ences, and his experience, training, and education in the profession or
business of electrical construction or maintenance, installation, repair or
design of all types of electrical equipment and apparatus, or of the par-
ticular type of installation for which a restricted/limited license is re-
quested, all coming within the purview of and subject to all provisions
of this Act.

(c)    The application of a firm or corporation shall be made on a
form supplied by the Board, signed in the name of the applicant, by an
executive officer or plant manager, and shall set forth the name and quali-
fications of the employee or employees whose employment entitles the
applicant to receive the type of license applied for and under whose
supervision all electrical work to be done for the applicant will be performed.

(1)    All applications shall be subscribed to under oath.

(2)    The applicant must be 21 years of age or older.

(3)    Every individual applicant for a Master Electrician—General,
Master Electrician—Limited, or a Master Electrician—Restricted License
shall submit to an examination.
