An Act to repeal and re-enact Section 564-3 of Article 23 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition, being
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), titled "Ap-
propriation—Greater Salisbury Industrial Development Agency", changing
the title of the same and authorizing an appropriation to the Salisbury-
Wicomico Economic Development Corporation.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
WICOMICO COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 564-3 of Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition,
being Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Local Laws of Maryland),
titled "Appropriation—Greater Salisbury Industrial Development Agency",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows and to be known as Section 564-3—Appropriation—Salisbury-
Wicomico Economic Development Corporation.

Section 564-3—[Appropriation—Greater Salisbury Industrial Develop-
ment Agency] APPROPRIATION—SALISBURY-WICOMICO ECO-
NOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

The County Council of Wicomico County is hereby authorized and
empowered to levy a sum of [Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00)]
SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500.00) for the
fiscal year [1968-1969] 1969—1970, and if levied, to appropriate the same
to [Greater Salisbury Industrial Development Agency] SALISBURY-WI-
COMICO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, a non-profit
corporation of the State of Maryland, to be used by said corporation in
furtherance of its objectives.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that this Act, having
been passed by the County Council at its Legislative Session of June,
1969, shall take effect August 1, 1969, unless a proper petition for referen-
dum thereof shall be validly filed prior to said date, in which event this
Act shall not take effect until the expiration of thirty (30) days following
approval of this Act by a majority of the qualified voters of the County
voting in any such referendum.
