An Act to amend Chapter 2, title "Administration," by adding a
new subsection (lii) to Section 2-22A (a)1 title, "State of Public
Emergency" of the Montgomery County Code 1965, so as to include
in the definition of a public emergency an attack or series of attacks
by an enemy of the United States.
Be It Enacted by the County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland,
that—
Section 1. Section 2-22A (a)1., Chapter 2, title "State of Public
Emergency" of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby amended as
follows:
2-22A. State of Public Emergency.
(a) Definitions.
1. A "Public Emergency" is hereby defined to be:
(iii) An attack or series of attacks by an enemy of the United
States causing, or which may cause, substantial damage or injury to
civilian property or persons in the United States in any manner, by sabo-
tage or by the use of guns, missiles, shell fire, or atomic, radiological,
chemical, bacteriological, or biological means or other weapons or processes.
Section 2. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day following its
enactment.

An Act to repeal Section 2-72, title "Recreation Board—Creation
authorized by resolution," of Chapter 2, title "Administration", of
the Montgomery County Code 1965 to divest the County Council of
its power to create, by resolution, a Recreation Board; to provide
for the continuation of the Recreation Board created by Resolution
No. 6-1507 as constituted prior to this enactment with the same duties,
responsibilities and term of office as provided for by the aforestated
resolution.
Be It Enacted by the County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland,
that—
