Police or his Agent, but shall be exempt from any requirements for
the providing of a bond. No person appointed or acting as an auxiliary
policeman shall receive compensation for services rendered in such capacity.
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect forty-five days after its enactment.
Bill No. 41
An Act, To increase the compensation of the County Executive,
such increase to become effective on the first day after the end of
the current term, by repealing and re-enacting with amendments
section 2-3 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968, title "Administration,"
article "In General."
Whereas, The County Council is empowered by section 405 of the
Baltimore County Charter to increase the compensation of the County
Executive, provided, however, that in no event shall the compensation
of the County Executive be increased during his current term; and
Whereas, It is deemed appropriate by the County Council that the
compensation of the County Executive be increased, commencing on the
first day after the end of the current term of the County Executive;
now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Baltimore County,
Maryland, That section 2-3 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968, title "Ad-
ministration," article "In General," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments as follows:
Sec. 2-3. The county executive shall be paid an annual salary of
thirty five THIRTY thousand [twenty-seven thousand five hundred] dol-
lars.
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act, having been
passed by the affirmative vote of not less than five members of the
County Council, is hereby declared to be effective on the first day after
the end of the current term of the County Executive.

An Act to increase the percentage, of the book value of the funds
created by the Employees' Retirement System, which may be in-
vested by the board of trustees, in dividend-paying stocks, by re-
pealing and re-enacting with amendments Section 20-49 of the Bal-
timore County Code, 1968, Title "Pensions and Retirement" Article
II. "Employees' Retirement System."
Section. 1. Be it ordained by the County Council of Baltimore County,
Maryland, That Section 20-49 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968, Title
"Pensions and Retirement," Article II. "Employees' Retirement System,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:
