Section 12-1920

(a)    The Director shall have full power to suspend or revoke for
proper cause any license or renewal thereof issued under this subtitle
after a hearing before the commission and Director of all parties in in-
terest. At least 8 days prior to such hearing, the Director shall by certi-
fied mail, notify the licensee charged with violation of the nature, time
and place of the alleged violation as well as the date, hour and place
of the hearing. If the Director revokes or suspends the license, the
licensee shall immediately surrender the same. In his discretion, the Di-
rector may issue a written warning to the licensee or may grant leave
to the licensee to rectify the violation within a specified time.

(b)    Proper cause for suspension or revocation shall include, but
not be limited to the following:

(1)    Performance or permitting the performance of defective or
dangerous work.

(2)  Failure to provide the required bond.

(3)   Permitting any unlicensed person, firm or corporation to uti-
lize the licensee's license in order to secure a permit or certificate of
compliance from the Department, or securing such for the use of un-
licensed persons whose work is not done under the licensee's supervision.

(4)   Failure for more than thirty days to correct any violation after
having been notified by the Department of such violation.

(c)  In all such matters, the Director shall seek the advice and guid-
ance of the commission but shall not be bound by same. Any person
aggrieved by the decision of the Director may appeal from his decision
to the County Board of Appeals as provided in Section 602 (b) of the
Charter of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Section 12-1921

Any of the licenses set forth in Section 12-1913 of this Subtitle
shall be granted to an applicant if:

(a)   Said applicant has actively been engaged in the work covered
by said license for two (2) consecutive years prior to the enactment of
this ordinance, and he submits satisfactory evidence thereof; and

(b)   He fulfills the qualifications of Section 12-1913 of this Subtitle;
and

(c)   He applies for such license within sixty (60) days of the effec-
tive date of this ordinance.

Section 12-1922

The "Standard for the Installation of Gas Appliances and Gas Piping"
as set forth in NFPA Standards No. 54-1969, adopted by virtue of Section
10-200 of the Annotated Code of Anne Arundel County (1967 Edition
and Supplements), is hereby amended as follows: and the provisions
herein shall be deemed to supercede the text of Standard 54 in any
case wherein the provisions of this ordinance are interpreted:

(1) Starting at the most remote outlet, find in the vertical column

just selected the gas demand for the outlet. If the exact figure of demand

is not shown, choose the next larger figure below in the column. SUB-

SECTION 2.4.4. DIVERSITY FACTOR. DELETE AS WRITTEN AND
SUBSTITUTE THE FOLLOWING: DIVERSITY FACTOR:
