(f)    Conditions deemed unsafe by the Director shall be made safe,
or use of unsafe equipment discontinued, upon notice to the owner or user
by the Director, and within the time specified in such notice. If such
equipment is not safe, it may be ordered removed from service by the
Director.

(g)    The provisions of this subtitle shall not apply to:

(1)    Gas piping systems for industrial installations at any pressure
or any other gas piping system operating at pressures greater than ½
pound per square inch.

(2)    Gas equipment supplied through piping systems covered in (h)
(1) above.

(3)    Gas equipment designed and installed for specified manufactur-
ing, production, processing and power generating applications.

Section 12-1901

Any official or employee of the Department shall have the right
during reasonable hours to enter any building or premises except an
inhabited private dwelling in the discharge of his official duties for the
purpose of making any inspection or test of any gas installation or equip-
ment contained therein, and no person shall hinder, impede, or interfere
with any such official or employee in the discharge of his official duties.
Nothing herein shall preclude the right of any official or employee of the
Department to apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for legal process
enabling him to enter an inhabited private dwelling for inspection
purposes.

Section 12-1902

Any violation of the provisions of this subtitle shall be a misdemeanor,
punishable by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by
imprisonment not to exceed six months, or both fine and imprisonment.
Any person violating such provisions shall be guilty of a separate offense
for every day that such violation shall continue.

Section 12-1903

(a)    No gas work, unless excepted in this Code, shall be undertaken
prior to the application for a permit to the Department of Inspections
and Permits. Permits shall be issued to Master Gas Fitters or Restricted
Gas Fitters only.

(b)    All applications for permits shall be in writing on such form
as may be prescribed by the Department, and shall be signed by a Master
or a Restricted Gas Fitter.

(c)    At any time prior to, or during the progress of, any work
regulated by this Subtitle, the Department may require the submission
of plans, specifications, drawings or other information as it deems neces-
sary and in such form or quantities as it deems necessary or proper. The
issuance of a permit based upon such plans and specifications shall not
prevent the Department from thereafter

(1)    Requiring the correction of errors,

(2)    Preventing construction operations being carried on thereunder
when in violation of this subtitle or of any other pertinent ordinance, or

(3)    Revoking any approval when issued in error.
