Section 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance

An Ordinance to add a new Section 10-104 to the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 10, "Fire Pro-
tection", Subtitle 1, "Generally", to follow immediately after Section
10-103 thereof, providing compensation for time lost from work by
volunteer firemen required to appear in court in connection with
their duties as firemen.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That new Section 10-104 is
hereby added to the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Sup-
plements), Title 10 "Fire Protection", Subtitle 1, "Generally", to follow
immediately after Section 10-103, thereof, to read as follows:

Section 10-104

The County shall reimburse any volunteer fireman for income lost as
the result of being required to appear in court in connection with his
duties as a fireman. SUCH REIMBURSEMENT SHOULD NOT EXCEED
THE PAY RATE FOR THE LOWEST CLASSIFICATION OF FIRE-
FIGHTING PERSONNEL.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

READ AND PASSED this 18th day of August, 1969.
