classes of positions not assigned to a specific standard work week shall
be required by their appointing authority to work at least the minimum
work week schedule established for the organization to which they are
assigned.
Section 1-215.2.
Where the nature of the work or the service requires an employee
occupying a position on the annual pay schedule to be assigned permanently
from a 35-hour standard work week to a 40-hour standard work week,
that employee shall have his regular rate of pay increased ten per cent
(10%) by raising his pay grade two levels in the pay schedule. Where
the nature of the work or the service requires an employee occupying a
position on the annual pay schedule to be assigned permanently from a
40-hour standard work week to a 35-hour standard work week, that em-
ployee shall have his regular rate of pay reduced ten per cent (10%) by
lowering his pay grade two levels in the pay schedule. Such changes in
assigned work weeks must be requested in writing by the appointing
authority and approved in writing by the Personnel Officer and the Budget
Officer.
Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that Section 1-216
of said Code, Title, Subtitle and Article be, and it is hereby repealed and
new Section 1-216 is enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the
section repealed, to read as follows:
Section 1-216.
(a) The below listed annual pay schedule shall be applicable to all
classes except those in the Custodial, Labor and Trades Group below Pay
Grade 16:
