50 minutes East, 190.0 feet to a point, thence (40) South 46 degrees East,
298.65 feet to a point, thence (41) North 34¾ degrees East, 9.9 feet to
a point, thence (42) South 46 degrees East, 200.0 feet to a point at the
end of the 7th or North 47½ degrees West, 1,005.0 foot line of said
conveyance from Earl Beard to Howard E. Koontz, Jr., by deed recorded
among said Land Records in Liber No. 392, folio 667, etc., thence with
said 7th and 6th lines of said conveyance reversed (43) South 47½
degrees East, 1,005.0 feet to a point, thence (44) South 34½ degrees
West, 330.0 feet to a point in the north marginal line of Westminster
Bypass U.S. Route #97, (45) thence crossing said U.S. Route #97 to a
point at the end of the 11th or North 69⅝ degrees West, 61¾ perch line
of a conveyance to Western Maryland College by deed recorded among
said Land Records in Liber No. 136, folio 281, etc., running thence with
said 11th, 10th and a portion of the 9th lines, reversed, (46) South 69⅝
degrees West, 61¾ perches to a point, thence (47) South 5 degrees West,
23¾ perches to a point, thence (48) South 30 degrees West to the place
of beginning and containing approximately 1,500 acres of land, more or
less.
And be it further RESOLVED that the real property so annexed and
the personal property thereon shall be subject to the municipal property
taxes effective with the levy of July 1, 1967; that all of said property,
both real and personal, will be taxed for the period of the levy only for
municipal services furnished to said properties at the effective date of
the levy.
And be it further RESOLVED that this Resolution shall become
effective on the 46th day following its final enactment.

The following Notice of Hearing was read and was approved on motion
of Mr. Conaway, seconded by Mr. Mathias and duly passed:
Notice is hereby given that on April 3, 1967 a Resolution of Annexa-
tion was introduced in the Common Council of the City of Westminster.
This resolution provides for the annexation of approximately 1,500 acres
of land located to the west of the present corporate boundaries of the
City and includes the land lying on both sides of State Route #97, on
both sides of the Uniontown Road, and on both sides of the relocated
State Route #31, and to the west of the former State Route #31.
The resolution further provides that the area to be annexed shall
be subject to municipal taxes from and after July 1, 1967 but shall not
be charged for services provided by the City but not supplied to the newly
annexed area; and the resolution further provides that it shall become
effective on the 46th day following its enactment.
There will be a public hearing on the annexation resolution on
Monday, May 1, 1967 at 8:00 P.M. at the Firemen's Building, East Main
Street, Westminster, Maryland.
