by the westerly edge of Cedar Lane and bounded on the west by the
westerly right-of-way line of the Penn-Central Railroad, said area
containing approximately thirty (30) acres of land;
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED
that from and after the effective date hereof, the area so annexed shall
be subject to the Charter and government of the Town of Greensboro in
accordance with Article 6 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1965
Edition with Supplements);
Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED
that this Ordinance shall become effective from and after March 23, 1970
in accordance with Section 19(e) of Article 23A aforesaid;
Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED
that copies of this Ordinance, as finally enacted, be registered in the Office
of the Clerk of the Town of Greensboro, the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Caroline County, Maryland, the Director of the Hall of Records of the
State of Maryland, and with the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference of the State of Maryland.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a hearing on said Petition
for Annexation and this Resolution be held on Monday, February 2, 1970
at 8:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, Greensboro, Maryland, in order that any
interested persons entitled by law to object to the proposed annexation may
appear and do so;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the passage of
this Resolution be given by posting a copy hereof in the Town Hall and by
publishing same in the County Record, a newspaper of general circulation
in the Town of Greensboro and the area proposed to be annexed thereto,
on each of four successive weeks beginning on December 17, 1969.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, we have hereunto subscribed our names
and caused the corporate seal of the Town of Greensboro to be affixed
hereto, and duly attested by, the Clerk of said Town.

Resolution of the Council of The City of Hagerstown, adopted pur-
suant to the authority of Article 11-E of the Constitution of Mary-
land and Section 13 of Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Corporations—Municipal," subtitle "Home—Rule," subheading
"Charter Amendments," to add a new section to Article IV of the
Charter of The City of Hagerstown, title "Revenue and Finance," to
be known as Section 32A, said new section to follow immediately after
Section 32 as designated in the Code of The City of Hagerstown
published in 1967, subtitle "Taxable Property; Assessments," said
new section to bear the subtitle "Stock in Trade," and to provide for
