35.    S 82°29'04" W 53.75 feet, thence

36.    N 25o01'56" W 200.00 feet to the place of beginning, containing
64.3223 Acres of land.

Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, the date of the introduction of this Resolution
is the 15th day of January, 1968, and will become effective on the 2nd
day of May, 1969, unless a prompt petition for referendum thereon shall
be filed as permitted by law, and provided further that the notice required
by law shall be published in the Gaithersburg Gazette, being a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of Gaithersburg, one each in the weeks
of March 21, March 28, April 4 and April 11, 1968, providing for a
public hearing to be held on May 6, 1968 at 8 p.m. in the Office of the
Mayor and City Council, Civic Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, that as soon as the Resolution hereby enacted
shall become effective either as herein provided, or following a referendum,
the Mayor shall promptly register both the original boundaries and the
new boundaries with the Clerk of the City or similar official thereof,
with the Commissioner of the Land Office, with the Circuit Court of
Montgomery County, and with the Director of the Department of Leg-
islative Reference.

Section 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, that the persons residing therein, if any, shall,
after the effective date of this Resolution, be subject to all the laws,
ordinances, and resolutions of the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

I, Harold C. Morris, Mayor of the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland,
do hereby certify that the foregoing is the true and correct Resolution
No. R-8-69 passed at a meeting of the Mayor and City Council of Gaithers-
burg held on the 17th day of March, 1969.

Resolution No. R-21-69

A Resolution authorizing the annexation by the City of Gaithers-
burg of approximately ten acres of land located in a northerly direc-
tion of the present corporate boundaries

Whereas, the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg have received
a Petition consenting to the proposed enlargement of the corporate bound-
aries of the City of Gaithersburg, so as to include an area encompassing
approximately ten acres of land located to the north of the present cor-
porate boundaries and adjacent thereto; and

Whereas, the signatures of the said Petition of Consent have been
verified and it has been ascertained that the persons signing said Pe-
tition are owners of not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the assessed
valuation of the real property located in the area to be annexed and
represent at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside
in the area to be annexed and who are registered as voters in County
elections.
