2308 Municipal Charters
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF EASTON, that enlargement
of the corporate boundaries of the Town of Easton be and it is hereby
proposed by annexation of the area comprised within the boundaries de-
scribed below and by changing the Town boundaries in accordance with
the following description:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument or marker set on the Easterly
side-line of the Right-of-Way of the State Boulevard leading from Cam-
bridge to the Bay Bridge (U. S. Rte. 50), said point being also the
northwesterly corner of land belonging to Sallie A. Spencer; Thence:
(1) With the Easterly side-line of the said State Boulevard, North 15
degrees, seven minutes East, four hundred, seventy-five feet (N15°07'E
475.0 ft.) to a concrete monument or marker and the Southerly line
of lands reserved to "Frankford" by James M. Warner; Thence: (2) With
the said reserved land, South eighty-eight degrees, forty-three minutes
East, seven hundred, sixty-nine and two tenths feet (S88° 43'E 769.2 ft.)
to a stone set at the common corner of lands reserved to James M. Warner,
the woodland of Charles Lyons and the herein described tract; Thence:
(3) With the said Lyons woodland, South nine degrees, seventeen minutes
West, five hundred, twenty-one and thirty-two one-hundredths feet (S09°
17' W 521.32 ft.) to a stone and the Northerly line of lands belonging to
Sallie A. Spencer; Thence: (4) With the said Spencer Land, North eighty-
one degrees, thirteen minutes West, three hundred, twelve and ninety-three
one-hundredths feet (N81° 13'W 312.93 ft.) to a stone; Thence: (5) Still
with the said Spencer land, North eighty-seven degrees, twelve minutes
West, four hundred, ninety-one and four tenths feet (N87° 12'W 491.4 ft.)
to the place of beginning: Containing eight and sixty-three one-hundredths
acres. (8.63 A.)
Said area proposed to be annexed being more particularly shown
upon a map made by Kastenhuber & Anderson, Civil Engineers and Sur-
veyors, entitled: "State of Maryland, Dep't. of State Police., Topographical
Map, New Site, Sub-Station "I" near the Town of Easton, Talbot County,
Maryland, April 1956.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held
by this body with respect to said annexation, such hearing to be held in
the offices of the Town of Easton, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on September 15th,
1969; provided that public notice of such hearing shall first be given pur-
suant to the provisions of Section 19(d) of said Article 23A, Annotated
Code of Maryland.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event this Resolu-
tion shall be finally enacted following said Public Hearing, then this
Resolution and the Annexation hereby proposed, shall become fully effec-
tive forty-five days following such enactment.
