2268                               Municipal Charters

Edition, as amended), title "Corporation—Municipal", to amend the
Charter of The Commissioners of Cambridge by repealing and re-
enacting, with amendments, Section 31(b), "Supervisor of Elections;
Compensation, duties" of the Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester
County (1961 Edition), said Code being Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchester County", subtitle
"Cambridge", repealing the stated salary of the Supervisor of Elec-
tions and substituting in lieu, thereof, provisions for the establishing
of his salary.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED by The Commissioners of Cambridge
that the Charter of said Municipal Corporation be, and the same is hereby
amended by repealing and reenacting said Section 31 (b) to read as follows:

31(b). SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS; COMPENSATION, DUTIES.

The Supervisor of Elections shall be paid an annual salary [of
$400.00] as may be set from time to time by Resolution passed by the
Commissioners
and his duties shall be as hereinafter provided in this sub-
title. In the event, for any reason, the Supervisor of Elections at any time
is unable to serve and perform the duties of his office, the Town Clerk,
Treasurer and Collector of Cambridge shall assume and perform the duties
of said office of Supervisor of Elections and when acting for and in the
place of the Supervisor of Elections is empowered, authorized and directed
to perform all the duties of said office. In the event the Town Clerk, Treas-
urer and Collector shall be obliged to so assume and perform the duties of
said office of Supervisor of Elections, the salary of said office shall be
apportioned between the Town Clerk, Treasurer and Collector and the
Supervisor of Elections, in amounts set by and in the discretion of the
Commissioners of Cambridge.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall
become effective September 16, 1969.

this July 28, 1969.

Charter Amendment No. 33

Resolution of The Commissioners of Cambridge adopted pursuant
to the authority of Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland and
Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition, as amended), title "Corporation—Municipal", to amend the
Charter of The Commissioners of Cambridge by adding a new Section
34A "Absentee Voting" to the Code of Public Local Laws of Dor-
chester County (1961 Edition), said code being Article 10 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland title "Dorchester County" sub-
title "Cambridge", adding new Section 34A thereto, providing for
absentee voting in Municipal Elections.
