UNDER  THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 702 OR 703 OF THIS
ARTICLE, BY MEANS OF THE AUXILIARY YAWL BOAT
CARRIED ON THE DREDGE BOAT. ON SUCH DAYS, THE

MAXIMUM CATCH LIMIT OF OYSTERS TAKEN BY DREDG-
ERS LICENSED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTIONS 702
OR 703 OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL BE AS PRESCRIBED BY
REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT, SUCH MAXIMUM
CATCH LIMITS MAY BE CHANGED IN THE DISCRETION OF

THE DEPARTMENT BY WRITTEN NOTICE TO ALL DREDG-
ERS LICENSED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 702

OR 703 OF THIS ARTICLE, NOT LESS THAN FIVE DAYS PRIOR
TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE CHANGE.
IN THE
WATERS OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY WHERE DREDGING IS
PERMITTED, THE DEPARTMENT OF CHESAPEAKE BAY
AFFAIRS MAY DESIGNATE BY REGULATION, A TIME OR
TIMES, NOT TO EXCEED TWO DAYS IN ANY ONE WEEK,
DURING WHICH THOSE BOATS DEFINED UNDER SECTION
696(F), AND LICENSED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SEC-
TIONS 702 OR 703 OF THIS ARTICLE, MAY PROPEL ANY
SUCH DREDGE BOAT BY MEANS OF THE AUXILIARY YAWL
BOAT CARRIED ON THE DREDGE BOAT, AND THE DEPART-
MENT SHALL FURTHER PRESCRIBE THE MAXIMUM DAILY
LIMIT ON SUCH DAY OR DAYS.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 693
(House Bill 239)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 292 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County (1963 Edition)
being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Somerset County," subtitle "Revenue and Taxes," as said
section was last amended by Chapter 306 of the Acts of 1966,
increasing the salary of the Deputy Treasurer of Somerset County,
and making provision for the effective date of this increase and
for the payment of the increased salary to the Deputy Treasurer.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 292 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
County (1968 Edition), being Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Somerset County," subtitle "Revenue
and Taxes," as said section was last amended by Chapter 306 of the
Acts of 1966, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
