[(b) Cecil County.
Provided, however, that for Cecil County the Commission shall
consist of eleven members, namely a member of the County Com-
missioners of Cecil County, and at least one person appointed by
the County Commission from each election district in said County.
The term of each member shall be five years, or until his successor
takes office, except that the members first appointed shall serve the
following terms: three such members shall be chosen for terms of
five years, two for four years, and two for three years, two for
two years, and two for one year. Vacancies shall be filled by the
County Commissioners for the unexpired term. Any provision in
this subtitle not inconsistent with this subsection shall be applicable
to Cecil County.]
[(c) St. Mary's County.
From and after June 1, 1963, in St. Mary's County the com-
mission shall consist of one member of the County Commissioners
and six persons appointed by the County Commissioners. The terms
of the members of the commission serving therein prior to June 1,
1963, shall remain unchanged. Of the two additional members of the
commission authorized by this subsection, one shall be appointed
initially for a term of four years, and the other for a term of five
years. Thereafter the term of each member shall be five years.
Wherever in this subtitle a vote of three commission members is
required, with respect to St. Mary's County, the vote of four
members shall be required. Notwithstanding the provisions of this
section, the chairman of the commission shall receive as compensa-
tion the sum of four hundred dollars ($400) annually, and each
of the other members of the commission shall receive as compensa-
tion the sum of three hundred dollars ($300) annually. In addition,
the County Commissioners shall provide such other clerical assist-
ance to the commission as may be necessary. The County Com-
missioners of St. Mary's County are authorized to appoint a full
time employee, at such salary as they may provide, who shall be
either a planner or an engineer, in their discretion. Such planner or
engineer shall be selected with the concurrence of four members of
the Planning and Zoning Commission. He shall perform such duties
as the County Commissioners shall prescribe, including but not
limited to, supervision of county roads and county public works, and
consultation to the County Commissioners and Planning and Zoning
Commission in all matters relating to planning and zoning.]
[(d) Kent County.
Notwithstanding the provisions of this Section in Kent County,
the chairman of the Commission shall receive as expense compensa-
tion the sum of eight hundred dollars ($800) annually, and each
of the other members of the commission shall receive as expense
compensation the sum of four hundred dollars ($400) annually.]
[(e) Washington County.
Provided, however, that for Washington County, the commission
shall consist of seven members.]
