Article 75A.
1.

(f) All fees and other moneys received by the Board pursuant to
any of the provisions of this article shall be deposited with the State
Treasurer, [kept by him in a special fund, and expended solely for
the purposes of this article. At the end of each year this special
fund shall revert to the general funds of this State. The compensa-
tion provided by this article and all expenses incurred by the Board
in administering this article shall be paid from this special fund.
No compensation or expense incurred under this article shall be a
charge against the general funds of this State.] and shall become
general funds of the State. Such moneys shall thereafter be dis-
bursed by the Comptroller only pursuant to an appropriation made
in accordance with Sections 32 and 52 of Article 3 of the Constitu-
tion or pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1 through 15, inclu-
sive, of Article 15A of this Code, title "Budget and Procurement," as
amended from time to time.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT ANY BAL-
ANCE, AS OF JUNE 30, 1970, IN A SPECIAL FUND ACCOUNT
HELD BY THE COMPTROLLER ON BEHALF OF ANY OF THE
BOARDS, COMMISSIONS OR AGENCIES REFERRED TO IN
SECTION 1 OF THIS ACT SHALL BE PAID OVER TO THE
GENERAL FUND OF THE STATE.

Sec. 2 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 663
(Senate Bill 21)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 645K of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement
Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments,"
subtitle "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading "Employ-
ment of Prisoners," and to repeal AND RE-ENACT, WITH
AMENDMENTS, Section 645S of said Article, title, subtitle and
subheading, to authorize the judges of People's Courts and the
Municipal Court and trial magistrates in imposing sentence to
prescribe that a convicted person may continue his regular em-
ployment or obtain new employment while serving the time of his
sentence., and to make this subtitle applicable throughout the State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 645K of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading
"Employment of Prisoners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and that Section 645S of said Article,
title, subtitle and subheading, be and it is hereby repealed, to read as
follows:
