(House Bill 1459)

AN ACT to add new Section 135H to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Worcester County (1961 Edition, being Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Worcester County,"
subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 135G thereof, as added by Chapter 404 of the Acts of 1968;
to authorize the County Commissioners of Worcester County to
cooperate with the Wicomico County Council in the creation and
regulation of a new commission to make ecological and hydro-
logical studies of the upper Pocomoke River ADVISORY COM-
MITTEE TO ASSIST THE WORCESTER COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS AND THE WICOMICO COUNTY COUNCIL IN
PROMOTING COORDINATED AND WELL-DEVELOPED
POLICIES FOR THE MULTIPLE USES OF THE UPPER
POCOMOKE RIVER.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 135H be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition, being Article 24
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Worcester
County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow immediately
after Section 135G thereof, as added by Chapter 404 of the Acts of
1968, to read as follows:

135H.

The County Commissioners of Worcester County are authorized
to cooperate with the Wicomico County Council in the creation and
regulation of a new commission to be formed for ecological and
hydrological studies of the upper (non tidal) Pocomoke River and
its watershed and surrounding areas ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO
BE FORMED TO ASSIST THE WORCESTER COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS AND WICOMICO COUNTY COUNCIL IN PRO-
MOTING COORDINATED AND WELL-DEVELOPED POLICIES
FOR THE MULTIPLE USES OF THE UPPER POCOMOKE
RIVER AND ITS WATERSHED AND SURROUNDING AREAS
FROM THE SNOW HILL RIVER BRIDGE TO THE MARYLAND-
DELAWARE STATE LINE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
