Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(h) Members of the several boards shall receive compensation
as follows:

(1)    Caroline County—Five hundred dollars per annum.

(1A) Garrett County—Eighteen hundred dollars ($1,800.00)
per annum, with a mileage fee of ten cents (10¢) per mile when in
attendance upon meetings.

(2)    Harford County—Twelve FIFTEEN hundred dollars per
annum, provided that an additional compensation shall be paid
board members for administrative services.

(3)    Kent County—Fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each day they
meet on official business.

(4)    Montgomery County—The salary of the director of the de-
partment of liquor control shall be fixed by the county manager
with the approval of the County Council.

(5)    Somerset County—One thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per
annum.

(6)    Wicomico County—Nine hundred dollars per annum, and a
salary of three hundred dollars per annum for the chairman of the
board, in addition to and over and above such compensation pre-
scribed herein for members of the said board.

(7)    Worcester County—[Twelve hundred] Fifteen hundred
($1,500.00)
per annum, with a mileage fee of ten cents per mile
when in attendance upon meetings.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 1219)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 277 (a)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Recordation
Tax," to exempt a security agreement relating to the assignment
of inventory from the recordation tax.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 277(a) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-
title "Recordation Tax," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
