(c) The Department of Public Works, may, in the interest of high-
way safety, require existing drive-in movie theaters to relocate the
screen or erect protective screens or fencing to shield the movie screen
from the view of persons traveling on any public street, road or high-
way in Harford County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 611
(House Bill 778)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 132 (h)
and 132(i) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Nat-
ural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish,"
subheading "Upland and Migratory Game Birds and Game Ani-
mals," to increase the period during which dogs may be run or
be trained for hunting and to allow persons attending the dog
or dogs to carry firearms and to kill game during the appropri-
ate season for that game.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 132(h) and 132(i) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supple-
ment), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland
Water Fish," subheading "Upland and Migratory Game Birds and
Game Animals," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

132.

(h) Provided, however, an owner of a dog or dogs between
[September 10] August 1 and March 1, inclusive, may be permitted
to run or train such dogs on woodcock, English ringneck, Mongolian
and melanistic pheasants, or any other imported species, ruffed
grouse, rabbit or hare and partridge (quail), provided an attendant
accompanies it or them [, but in so doing no person shall be allowed
or permitted to carry a gun or firearms of any description]. [Pro-
vided, however, it shall be unlawful for any person to permit his
dog or dogs to catch or kill any game during said training; pro-
vided, however, any person training dogs during the period named
herein must have in possession a valid hunter's license and tag dis-
played on outer garment.] No attendant of the dog or dogs may
carry firearms of any description nor permit the dog or dogs which
he is training, to kill any game while being trained except during
the open season for such game. Each attendant shall have a valid
hunting license and tag displayed on his outer garment.

(i) Any person allowing any dog or dogs belonging to him to
run at large on any property, other than that owned or tenanted
by him, between March 1 and [September 9] July 31 and pursue
game or destroy the eggs or nest thereof shall pay a penalty of
five dollars ($5.00) and costs for each and every offense. Any per-
