AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments Sections 1(2), 1
(4), 1(5), 1(6), 1(13A), 1(16), 1(25), 1(55), and 1 (93) of Chap-
ter 780 of the Laws of Maryland, 1959, as last amended by Chapter
720 of the Laws of Maryland, 1967, Chapters 173 and 630 of the
Laws of Maryland, 1965, Chapter 181 of the Laws of Maryland,
1968, Chapter 689 of the Laws of Maryland, 1969, Chapter 603 of
the Laws of Maryland, 1963, and Chapter 232 of the Laws of Mary-
land, 1967, said Sections being also, respectively, Sections 70-6,
70-8, 70-9, 70-10, 70-18(a) and (c), 70-21(b), 70-37(c), (d), (f),
and (g), 70-66(a), 70-101 (d) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Montgomery County (1965 Edition, as amended, being Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title "Mont-
gomery County," subtitle "Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission," and Sections 59-2, 59-4, 59-5, 59-6, 59-17
(b), 59-30 (c), (d), (f), and (g), 59-60 (a) and 59-95 (d) of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963
Edition, as amended, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland) title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Park
and Planning Commission," to authorize the County Executive of
Montgomery County, with the approval of the County Council, to
appoint and remove the Montgomery County members of the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, to
designate a Montgomery County member of the commission to
serve on a full-time basis, to authorize a supplemental salary for
such member, and to designate a Montgomery County member
of the commission for the position of chairman or vice-chairman
of the commission; to authorize the County Executive or his
designee to interview applicants for appointment to the commis-
sion; to require appointees to the commission to file an annual
financial statement with the County Executive; to require the com-
mission to submit its six-year capital improvement program to
the County Council and County Executive; to require the approval
of the County Executive of contracts of the commission for the
acquisition of park lands, and to authorize the County Executive
to execute a guarantee of any bonds issued pursuant thereto; to
require the commission to furnish estimates of unexpended balances
of tax funds to the County Executive; to require the commission,
prior to October 1 of each calendar year, to submit to the County
Council and County Executive complete budget estimates for the
forthcoming fiscal year; and relating generally thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 1(2), 1(4), 1(5), 1(6), 1(13A), 1(16), 1(25), 1(55),
and 1(93) of Chapter 780 of the Laws of Maryland, 1959, as
last amended by Chapter 720 of the Laws of Maryland, 1967, Chapters
173 and 630 of the Laws of Maryland, 1965, Chapter 181 of the Laws
of Maryland, 1968, Chapter 689 of the Laws of Maryland, 1969, Chap-
ter 603 of the Laws of Maryland, 1963, and Chapter 232 of the Laws
of Maryland, 1967, said Sections being also, respectively, Sections
70-6, 70-8, 70-9, 70-10, 70-18 (a) and (c), 70-21 (b), 70-37(c), (d),
(f), and (g), 70-66(a), 70-101(d) of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1965 Edition, as amended, being
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) title "Mont-
