tions in the county where bingo is conducted. , TO AUTHORIZE
THE ISSUE OF AWARDS FOR THE SCORE OR RESULT
OBTAINED FROM PLAYING BINGO, AND GENERALLY RE-
LATING TO BINGO IN CALVERT COUNTY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 259A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1967 Replacement Volume), title
"Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments,"
subheading "Gaming," to follow immediately after Section 259
thereof, and to read as follows:

259 A.

(a) Nothing in this Article shall be construed to make it un-
lawful to conduct or operate a game or games of bingo in Calvert
County pursuant to this section.

       (b) The County Commissioners of Calvert County are hereby au-

thorized by resolution or ordinance to adopt regulations for the
operation of or conducting of games of bingo within Calvert County,
and to issue permits therefor and to establish fees
therefor.

(B) (1) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CALVERT
COUNTY ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE THE FOL-
LOWING TYPES OF LICENSES FOR THE OPERATING OR
CONDUCTING OF GAMES OF BINGO WITHIN CALVERT
COUNTY. ALL LICENSES ISSUED PURSUANT TO THIS ACT
SHALL BE PREPARED IN TRIPLICATE, ONE COPY TO BE
RETAINED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CALVERT
COUNTY, ONE COPY TO BE FORWARDED TO THE STATE
COMPTROLLER, AND ONE COPY TO BE DELIVERED TO
THE LICENSEE.

CLASS NA. NOT EXCEEDING SEVEN HUNDRED AND
FIFTY PERSONS, SEATING OR PLAYER CAPACITY WITH
AN ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OF THREE THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS.

CLASS NB. NOT EXCEEDING FIVE HUNDRED PERSONS,
SEATING OR PLAYER CAPACITY, WITH AN ANNUAL LI-
CENSE FEE OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

CLASS NC. NOT EXCEEDING ONE THOUSAND PERSONS,
SEATING OR PLAYER CAPACITY WITH AN ANNUAL LI-
CENSE FEE OF SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS.

CLASS ND, BEACH. NOT EXCEEDING FIVE HUNDRED
PERSONS, SEATING OR PLAYER CAPACITY WITH AN
ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

CLASS NE, BEACH. NOT EXCEEDING ONE THOUSAND
PERSONS, SEATING OR PLAYER CAPACITY WITH AN
ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

(2) EACH LICENSE SHALL AUTHORIZE THE LICENSEE
TO OPERATE A BINGO GAME; SUBJECT HOWEVER TO
THE LIMITATION UPON SEATING AND PLAYER CAPACITY
ESTABLISHED FOR SUCH LICENSE. IT SHALL BE LAWFUL
FOR THE LICENSEE OF ANY SUCH LICENSED GAME TO
ISSUE MERCHANDISE, COINS, CURRENCY, TOKENS, OR
